Joe grew up in the Rockford, IL area.  He is a graduate, Rockford Jefferson H.S., Rock Valley of College and of Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Accountancy.  Joe is a licensed insurance producer, a registered CPA and has his Certified Insurance Counselor(CIC) designation.   Joe worked as a CPA for 13 years in Rockford prior to a carrier change to commercial insurance in 2009.

Joe is president of the board for Village of Progress Foundation. In addition, he is the president of the board of directors of Steppingstones of Rockford, Inc., past chairman of the board of directors of Wesley Willows,  and treasurer of Rockford East Cherry Valley Rotary.  He has held past board positions for Tinker Swiss Cottage and The Rock River Chapter of the American Red Cross.  He is a member of Maywood Free Church, Rockford and serves on their finance committee.

Joe is married and has raised his three children in Ogle County.  He enjoys driving from his home in Byron down route 2 with his wife for a dinner date.  He enjoys taking trips with his family, snowmobiling, UTVing, and keeping up on the latest automobile news.
